Windows 7 Pre-Order
Written by Timothy Stewart

Microsoft has released their pricing scheme for Windows 7. All versions of Windows will cost 10% cheaper than their previous versions. Microsoft has also launched pre-order sales as of today but only for a limited time.
Microsoft has priced their new Windows 7 OS according to two different paths. Either an upgrade from a previous OS or a full retail install. All of the versions will contain most of the same features with the higher ones suiting more of the business needs. Windows Home Premium will suit almost every single home user's needs. It has all of the "oo's" and "ahs" of Windows 7 and will be the best value for most people.
Their pricing is as follows:
Upgrades:
- Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgrade): $119.99
- Windows 7 Professional (Upgrade): $199.99
- Windows 7 Ultimate (Upgrade): $219.99
- Windows 7 Home Premium (Full): $199.99
- Windows 7 Professional (Full): $299.99
- Windows 7 Ultimate (Full): $319.99
The pricing does seem a little steep, but it is cheaper than Vista was when it launched. BUT for a limited time, Microsoft is slashing the prices on the Home Premium Upgrade and Home Professional upgrade in half. This is a pretty good deal if you plan on upgrading to Windows 7 any time in the future, which I hope everyoen is doing. This offer only lasts from June 26th to July 11th so get yours fast.
